  • Colosseum - it costs €12 to visit the Colosseum. EU citizens who are teachers or aged between 18 and 24 get a reduced rate of €9, while if you’re under 18 or over 65 and from the EU entry is free. This price includes entry to Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum.
  • Pantheon- The Pantheon was one of our favorite buildings in Rome; if you think it looks impressive from the outside, wait till you see the inside. A huge skylight in the top of the building lets sunlight flood into the building, acting as a sundial; the walls, floor and columns are made from stone and coloured marble which looks as grand as it must have done when it was first built.
  • Catacombs- There are five catacombs in Rome, we chose to visit one of the most favorably reviewed; Saint Callistus, located in the South of the city. It was worth it though to climb down in the catacomb, the air cooling with each step we took.
  • St. Peter’s Basilica - A trip to St. Peter’s Basilica is essential during a visit to the Italian capital. As the primary headquarters of earthly Christendom, tourists fly in vast flocks to the Basilica every year. Its inside is truly stunning and is the largest interior of any Christian church in the world. Almost every inch of the inner chamber’s walls is decorated with elaborate and colorful tiling.
